CHICAGO--The bats came alive Tuesday afternoon as the Cleveland Indians had five homers and 11 hits and shutout the Chicago White Sox 9-0.
Jordan Luplow led the way with two homers. Luplow, 25 who has four homers total this season, all against the White Sox.
The White Sox's three game win streak came to an end thanks to Carlos Carrasco's (4-3) seven inning shutout and Manny Banuelos' (2-3) third consecutive rough outing. Banuelos gave up five runs on four hits before leaving the game in the fifth inning. Meanwhile, Roberto Perez, Jake Bauers and Jose Ramirez each had homers to assist Luplow in the offensive effort.
RHP Trevor Bauer (4-2, 3.02) will start against Baltimore at Progressive Field. White Sox will start RHP Dylan Covery (0-2) against Toronto.
