OAKLAND, CA -- After going 84 consecutive games without attempting a sacrifice bunt, the Oakland Athletics finally ended the streak. Stephen Piscotty layed down a bunt to move both Olson and Morales into scoring position. Ramon Laureano followed up the sac-bunt with a blooper to shallow right, which dropped due to tribe outfielder Jordan Luplow losing his footing and slipping to the ground. Tyler Olson, who was on his way back to third base when the ball was hit, was able to jog home to knock off the Indians 3-2.

Trevor Bauer had an unbelievable outing, but the fielding behind him was quite the opposite. The indians gave up 2 runs due to 2 errors, as they were unearned for Bauer. The tribe starter finished his outing going a strong 7.0 innings, 0 earned runs, giving up only 2 hits and striking out 10 batters. The Indians bats struggled to manufacture runs today, out-hitting the Athletics 10 to 4, but were outscored 3 to 2.

The Oakland Athletics took the bullpen approach to today's game, as Liam Hendriks started the game but was pulled after the first inning. Aaron Brooks followed up with 4 full innings of relief. Oakland's closer Blake Treinen, who gave up the game-tying run in the top of the 9th inning, was given the win in today's ballgame.

The Indians will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow afternoon in Oakland. Tribe youngster Jefry Rodriguez will get the start, and will face off against A's starter Daniel Mendgen. First pitch is set for 4:07 PM ET at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California.
