CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Indians were looking at a one run deficit in the bottom of the eighth inning, as they were quickly running out of outs. Francisco Lindor led off the inning with a single, and was then advanced to second base on a sacrifice bunt by Leonys Martin. Jose Ramirez followed up the sac-bunt with a strikeout swinging, which sent the tribe's hottest bat to the batter's box, Carlos Santana. The Indians slugger worked a four pitch count before launching an absolute missile to straight away center field to put the Indians ahead 5-4. Indians closer Brad Hand shut the door on the Mariners in the ninth inning, earning his tenth save of the season.

Indians starter Carlos Carrasco had a rather strange outing, giving up four earned runs which all came from solo home runs. At times throughout the game Carrasco looked like he had his best stuff of the season, and at other times the ball was being launched on a ball hung over the zone. The tribe starter ended the game going 7 2/3 innings, giving up four earned runs on seven hits, striking out nine batters. Francisco Lindor jumped on a pitch in the 3rd inning, sending a solo shot to center field, as the tribe star shortstop seems to be coming in to his own after suffering an early season injury.

The usually stellar Seattle Mariners bullpen has now blown back to back games to start off their road stand. Mariners reliever Connor Sadzeck was hit with his first loss of the season after giving up a two-run shot to Carlos Santana. Tyler Olson earned his first win of the season after only recording one out. Brad Hand got the save for the Indians, his tenth of the season.

The Cleveland Indians, who are now 5-0 on the season against Seattle, will go for a 3-game sweep on Sunday afternoon. Cody Anderson will get his first start of the season, as he will be facing off against Mariners starter Erik Swanson. First pitch is set for 1:10 PM ET at beautiful Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
