HOUSTON, TX -- After three lights out innings by the Cleveland Indians bullpen, Adam Cimber gave up a walk-off home run to an unlikely hitter. Tony Kemp, a 5'7" 165 lb speedster for the Houston Astros laced a line-drive to right field to lift the Astros over the Indians in the 10th inning.
Houston jumped on Shane Bieber in the 6th inning, opening up a 3-1 lead on a Carlos Correa two-run home run. The tribe responded right away as Frankie Lindor came into the ballgame to pinch-hit, and drove in a run on a sac-fly, which was followed up by a Mike Freeman RBI single, which brought in Naquin to tie the game at three.
Both bullpens battled back-and-forth, forcing the game to go to extra innings. Robert Osuna provided the Astros with 2.0 innings, as he shut the door on the Indians in both the 9th and 10th innings. Ryan Presley earned the win for Houston, as he threw 1.2 innings, giving up only one hit.
Brad Peacock was extremely effective, pitching six innings, allowing one run on four hits. Shane Bieber struck out nine batters in six innings for the tribe, but was charged with three runs off of only three hits.
The Houston Astros will be looking to split the four-game series against the Cleveland Indians on Sunday night. Carlos "Cookie" Carrasco will get the start for the Indians on the road, Houston will give the ball to Wade Miley. First pitch is set for 7:08 PM PM ET at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
