The Indians defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers, 8-4, in Goodyear Ballpark on Friday night. Cleveland scored four times in the bottom of the 3rd inning to erase an early 2-0 Dodgers lead, getting a pair of two-run singles from CARLOS SANTANA and ROBERTO PEREZ. YU CHANG added a solo shot in the 4th and BRANDON BARNES added a solo shot of his own in the bottom of the 6th. LEONYS MARTIN went 3-for-3 to raise his spring average to .545 (6-for-11) as Santana recorded a multi-hit game of his own.
Pitching wise, BRAD HAND, DAN OTERO, HENRY MARTINEZ, ADAM CIMBER, BEN TAYLOR & HECTOR HERNANDEZ recorded scoreless outings in relief of starter A.J. COLE (2R/ER, 2.0IP).
