Minutes after President Trump announced the death of ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi in a US raid, Defense Secretary Mark Esper told ABC News "it's a great day for the world." Al-Baghdadi was targeted Saturday in a nighttime raid by U.S. special operations forces in Syria.

President Donald Trump said no US forces were injured. Esper says fewer than a hundred special operations forces conducted the raid, and when it was over, returned to Kurdish controlled Iraq. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in a statement thanked the military and intelligence officials involved in the action. She also calls for a House briefing on the raid - “which the Russians but not top Congressional Leadership were notified of in advance.”
