Michael Cohen: Full Of Sound And Fury, Signifying Nothing

Listen to Geraldo In Cleveland, weekdays 9-10am on Newsradio WTAM 1100, now available on 106.9 FM and the iheartradio app.

As President Trump and North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jun-un part ways after their discussions in Hanoi, Vietnam without a deal, common sense would dictate the White House Press Corps would have enough on their plate.

Common sense sometimes doesn't win in the end.

Yesterday, Michael Cohen was the ringmaster of his own circus as journalists, law makers, and the American people looked on. The former Trump lawyer dazzled audiences with stories of pornstars, corporate corruption, and Russian Collusion. On their own, the stories were just as compelling as any afternoon soap opera.

Cohen's testimony also had another thing in common with a soap opera- Neither are rooted in fact.

Instead of actual proof, audiences were entertained with opinion and conjecture. It seems the only important things that came out the convicted liar's testimony.

Time will tell if Cohen's testimony will actually move the needle in either direction. However, as the news cycle surrounding this latest show in Washington winds down, the media can take this kind of time and effort on the work being down with North Korea.
