Michael Deemer, President & CEO from The Downtown Cleveland Alliance spoke to Bill about So much excitement in the city. What else can we look forward to? Mayor Election - How is DCA working to get out the vote?

  • Early and Absentee voting began a few weeks ago - 
    • request your mail-in ballots or vote in person at the Board of Elections. 
  • DCA published its first Ever Voter Education Guide with information on when and where to vote as well as eligibility and requirements.
  • Public Policy Agenda- outlines the policy issues that greatly impact downtown
  • Candidate Questionnaire- a platform for the candidates to communicate how their agenda’s impact Downtown Cleveland.
  • Working with Downtown Cleveland Residents and our City Advocates Young Professionals Board to spread the work about voting.

So much excitement in the city. What else can we look forward to?

That's right. The energy downtown is growing every week as workers return to the office, events resume, and tourism picks up.

  • Cavs opener- October 22 at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse
  • Browns next two games will be at home at FirstEnergy Stadium
  • Cleveland Marathon
    • October 23 & 24th in Downtown Cleveland

Rock Hall Celebration Day 

  • Sunday October 24th- in Union Mortgage Plaza- North Coast Harbor
  • Local music all day long, plenty of family activities, and a festival village with local vendors and community partners.
  • The museum is free that day 
  • Rock Hall Induction Ceremony will be in Cleveland the next week on October 30

So much activity and vibrancy happening in the core. We’ve been welcoming folks back to Downtown Cleveland and the events and programs help us to keep this momentum going as we chart our path towards recovery.
