CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Cavaliers got off to a promising start in their home opener, jumping out to a 4-point lead against the visiting Hornets. turovers were once again an issue for the Cavs, and the Hornets made them pay., CHarlotte put together a 19-2 run in the second half and took down the Cavaliers by the final score of 123-102.
Despite having one of the taller lineups accross the NBA, Cleveland was outrebounded 50-40, marking the second time in as many games where they have lost the battle on the glass. The Charlotte Hornets turned 18 Cavaliers turnovers into 34 total points.
The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Atlanta Hawks for the second game of a back-to-back. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm ET at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
