Cavs Draft

The NBA draft will be held on Wednesday, November 18th and you will get “Complete Cavs Coverage” from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. hosted by Mike Snyder and Tim Alcorn and Dennis Manoloff gets fan reaction from 11 p.m. to midnight on WTAM 1100 and 106.9 FM.

The draft rumors are flying and the final mock drafts are being posted. Cavs forward Kevin Love could be moved for the right offer. Some reports have Love staying put until at least the 2020-2021 trade deadline while other reports have him possibly be headed to the Phoenix Suns.

The draft has no clear-cut consensus #1 pick so with the Cavs sitting at #5 there should be a solid player on the board. One mock draft has LaMelo Ball going #1 to the Timberwolves, center James Wiseman out of Memphis going #2 to the Warriors, shooting guard Anthony Edwards from the University of Georgia being picked at #3 to the Hornets and the Bulls selecting strong forward Deni Avdija #4 from Maccabi Tel Aviv.

That leaves power forward Obi Toppin from the University of Dayton and power forward Onyeka Okongwu from Southern Cal both on the board. Toppin is considered the most complete offensive player in the draft and he set he set a school record for dunks last season and he won the 2020 Naismith Trophy as men’s college basketball’s most outstanding player. Okongwu is considered by some to the best big prospect in the draft with a huge defensive upside.
