CLEVELAND, OHIO- The Cleveland Cavaliers travels north of the border to take on the Toronto Raptors in the first game of the 2022-23 season. The game was a back and forth battle between the two teams as neither team lead by more than 11 points in the game. The Cavs would close out the second quarter with a six point lead and came into the fourth quarter with a eight point lead, but would not be able to hold on to it as they lost 108-105.
Top Players for the Cavs included, Donavan Mitchell with 31 points and 9 assist, and Cedi Osman with 17 points. For the Raptors, Pascal Siakam lead the way for his team with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 steals. The Cavs fall to 0-1 and will have a couple of days of rest before traveling to Chicago to take on the Bulls, scheduled tip-off time is set at 8PM EST.
