The Burks of Game Winners, Cavs Defeat Nets 99-97

BROOKLYN-Alec Burks was acquired via trade that sent Kyle Korver from Cleveland to Utah. On this night, Burks had his "welcome to Cleveland" moment as he scored the go-ahead dunk to beat the Brooklyn Nets 99-97.

Cavs snapped their four game losing streak. The Cavs led most of the game thanks to Jordan Clarkson's scoring off the bench (20 points) and Tristan Thompson (19 pts/14 rebs) playing at his career best individually and as a leader on the Cavs.

The Nets made it close with a 17-6 4th quarter run to tie the game at 97. After Burk's go-ahead dunk, Spencer Dinwiddle's potential game-winner 3 was short.

Cavs won't have much time to celebrate as they will host the 2018 NBA Champion Golden State Warriors Wednesday night in a Finals rematch...a much different matchup compared to last June with LeBron James.
