BOSTON -- Kyrie Irving led the Celtics over his former team, and he scored all 29 of his points in the first three quarters. The Celtics were firing on all cylinders tonight, topping their season scoring high for the second consecutive game.

The game remained close throughout the first half, as the Cavaliers trailed by no more than 10 points in what appeared to be a back-and-forth game. Despite the Cavs having a solid first half, the second half was a different story. Boston took over the game in the third quarter, making 6 of 8 3-pointers and outscoring the Cavaliers 39-20. Marcus Smart contributed 12 points and seven assists and Gordon Hayward added 14 points off the bench, before the Celtics reserves finished off the underwhelming Cavaliers.

Alec Burks played his first game as a Cleveland Cavalier tonight, and he immediately contributed 15 points off of the bench. Tristan Thompson provided the energy for the Cavs, scoring 13 points and pulling in 12 boards, recording his fifth double-double in six games for Cleveland. Jordan Clarkson continued his efficient bench scoring, putting up a team-high 16 points.

The Cavaliers will look to get back in the winning column on Saturday night, December 1st versus the Toronto Raptors. Tip-off is set for 8:00 pm ET at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
