John A .Orlando, also known to family and co-workers as John Anthony; is a 5th generation member of the Orlando Baking Company. His father and two uncles helped laid the foundation for where the company is today. Born and raised in Northeast Ohio, John attended St. Joseph High school, and Ohio University. He established and operated Premier Distribution, a bread wholesale company that serviced Quick Serve Restaurants throughout Northern Ohio and Western PA Company for 13 years. However, his connection to the baking industry really started at young age, when he was 12 years where he helped hand tie our infamous egg knots at the family bakery.
Over 25 years ago, John joined other family members working full time at Orlando Baking Company. During his time at the bakery he has held the roles of Account Manager and Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Operations and in 2019 became President and CEO. As the Orlando Baking Company continues to expand John’s focus is on the continued growth of product offerings as well as the physical expansion of the bakery facilities and the development and growth of the people in the organization.
As an active member of the Cleveland community, John serves on the Board of the Hunger Network of Greater Cleveland, as well as Burton Bell Carr CDC. In addition he works closely with the steering committee for Cleveland’s Opportunity Corridor project that will connect the Kinsman neighborhood with University Circle.
In his spare time John can be found spending time with his family and two sons, AJ, 21 and Enzo, 23 golfing and watching their favorite Cleveland sports teams.
