Dr. Milan Milasinovic is the president of The North Coast College in Lakewood, Ohio, and New England Culinary Institute (NECI) in Montpelier, Vermont. In his last tenure, he was Vice president for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer at LIM College in New York City, where he was also the Founding Dean of Graduate Business School and Continuing Education. Prior to that, he was the Dean of Graduate Studies at the London based European School of Economics/ Buckingham University.
Dr. Milasinovic is a global and visionary leader who brings entrepreneurship to academia with successful record of getting programs and schools regionally, nationally, and specially accredited. He is a published author (“Price Volatility and Reference Price” VDM Muller, ISBN 13: 978-3639085358).
In his academic career, he managed faculty and staff of over 200, multi-million dollars budgets, and launched many residential and online degrees and programs, nationally and internationally. He pioneered in online learning and created support to assist faculty and students engaged in distance learning. He spearheaded faculty efforts to design and redesign undergraduate and graduate curriculums, reorganized experiential education and career development, and introduced new advising system. He pursued globalization by enrolling international students, establishing new international academic exchange programs, and starting partnerships with schools around the world. In addition, he increased retention, graduation rate and enrollment, and he spearheaded faculty development.
His extensive and rich business experience in the industry served him to increase the college’s industry exposure and raise brand awareness through many initiatives, such as envisioning and launching a very popular “CEO Roundtable” Speaker Series in New York. His emphasis on convergence of creative and linear education to enable manageable innovation has put him to the forefront of the change in higher education.
Dr. Milasinovic holds a Doctorate in Business Administration, major in Marketing (DBA), from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, an MBA from University Bocconi ‘SDA Bocconi’ in Milan, Italy and University of Florida, a Graduate (Master) Certificate in Information Technology from New York University, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
