CNN Crew Robbed While Covering Story About San Francisco Street Crime

On Friday, a CNN crew was in San Francisco trying to shoot a story about street crime.

While doing an interview at City Hall, correspondent Kyung Lah says she and her producer asked security to watch their car, but “in under four seconds, the rear window of their rental was smashed in and a few bags were taken before security arrived to stop them from taking more.

The “hired security guard” also managed to get a pic of the thief’s car driving away, and the license plate.

Among the personal items missing, Lah said her passport and ID were stolen.

On her third day in the city, Lah tweeted that San Francisco is beautiful, but even having “hired security watching your car” isn’t enough.
