Former Cav Shawn Kemp Arrested Following Tacoma Shooting Incident

Former Seattle SuperSonic and Cleveland Cavalier Shawn Kemp is under arrest. The former NBA star was booked in the Pierce County, Washington jail following a drive-by shooting incident Wednesday.

Police in Tacoma say an altercation ensued between the occupants of two vehicles in the area of the Tacoma Mall Wednesday afternoon. Shots were ultimately fired before one of the vehicles fled the scene.

No one was injured but Kemp was booked on a felony drive-by charge about four hours after the incident. Kemp made NBA All-Star teams six times during his career mostly spent with Seattle and Cleveland.

His NBA career lasted fourteen seasons after he was drafted 17th overall by Seattle in 1989.
