Oregon Shroom House Store Raided After Traffic Problems Get News Coverage

When your illegal business is causing traffic problems, there’s a good chance you’re going to get the attention of the authorities. That’s what happened yesterday when the Portland Police Bureau’s Narcotics and Organized Crime unit took a search warrant to Shroom House, a store selling “suspected psilocybin products.”

Several local news outlets had covered the lines that were stretched down the block waiting to get into the store; the two suspects arrested are facing 10 felony counts of money laundering and 10 counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school. A legal psilocybin program was voted into place in 2020, but it doesn’t go into effect until next month.
