Cleveland Guardians Manager Terry Francona is the best in the American League. Francona, Tuesday night, was named A.L. Manager of the Year beating out the Orioles Brandon Hyde and Seattle's Scott Servais.
It is the third time in his ten year tenure that Francona has claimed Manager of the Year in the 'Junior Circuit.'The 63-year old led Cleveland to a 92-and-70 record and an American League Central Division title.
Francona's team marched to the division championship despite the fact 17 rookies made their Major League debuts throughout the campaign. Tito has guided the Indians/Guardians franchise to a 845-671 record since 2013, posting a winning record in nine of his ten seasons.
Francona also won the award in 2013 and 2016 when the team made it to the World Series before losing a heartbreaking Game-7 against the Chicago Cubs.
