We told you in July about a man arrested for drunk driving after driving a Walmart electric mobility scooter into the store’s shelves and almost hitting customers, and now he’s been sentenced.
39-year-old Aaron Gregory pled no contest to charges of disorderly intoxication and possession of an open container of alcohol (for the open bottle of vodka he had with him on the scooter), and he was sentenced to 60 days in jail.
Gregory was also banned from returning to that Walmart for six months. Authorities wound up not charging him with drinking and driving, even though the scooter is considered a motor vehicle since it can approach speeds of 10 mph.
