Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson Suspended Six Games

The Cleveland Browns will be without embattled quarterback Deshaun Watson for the first six games of the season.

Reports say Watson has been handed that suspension by retired federal judge and NFL Disciplinary Officer Sue L. Robinson who rendered the ruling following a three day hearing in June.

Watson also evades a fine in the case. Watson had come under fire for sexual misconduct with dozens of massage therapists he hired while a member of the Houston Texans.

The NFL can still appeal Judge Robinson's ruling over the next three days. The NFLPA said Sunday night it would not appeal Judge Robinson's decision before it came out and urged the NFL to follow suit.

The league argued for a suspension of at least a year. Should the suspension stay as is, Watson would return to the field for the Oct. 23 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Back-up Jacoby Brissette will start in Watson's absence.

The Browns and Texans pulled the trigger on a blockbuster March trade bringing Watson to Cleveland where he signed a $230 million dollar with Cleveland.
