Former NYC Gangster Sammy 'The Bull' Gravano Joins Bloomdaddy Show Today

Former Gambino crime family underboss Sammy 'The Bull' Gravano joins the Bloomdaddy Show at 3:50 this afternoon detailing the life of crime he once led, and the decision to turn government witness which ultimately broke up the the mafia in New York City. Gravano will also discuss his work in film as he has produced a series loosely based on his life as a member of the New York mob.

The 77-year old Gravano played a major role in prosecuting Gambino Crime Family Boss John Gotti whom he agreed to testify against in a deal in which he admitted to his involvement in 19 murders including that of one-time Gambino Crime Family Boss Paul Castellano and his driver outside 'Sparks Steak House' in Manhattan shortly before Christmas, 1985.

Gravano was ultimately sentenced to a five year prison term before entering into the Federal Government's witness protection program. Just a few short years later, Sammy got involved with an Ecstasy drug ring along with his son, Gerard, Gerard's friend Michael Papa and Gravano's ex-wife Debra and their daughter Karen. Sammy pleaded guilty to federal and state drug charges in 2001 and was released ahead of his sentence's scheduled end in 2017.
