A huge day both on the broadcasting and philanthropic side of things today for Newsradio WTAM 1100, The Providence House, and the Cleveland Guardians.
WTAM 1100 and the Guardians are teaming up to 'Stuff the Truck' for Providence House from 5am to 8pm. The Providence House is a crisis nursery serving hundreds of children and families on a yearly basis.
The 'Bloomdaddy Show' will broadcast live from Gateway Plaza outside Progressive Field from 10pm to 6pm but the day kicks off at 5am as WTAM 1100 News Director Mike Snyder will be on the plaza from 5am to 10am greeting folks who bring down any household items needed by the Providence House.
Drive up donations can be made on the plaza from 5am until 3pm. The plaza will then be closed to vehicular traffic but walk up donations can be made from 3pm till 8pm.
Items needed include children's clothing, non-perishable snacks, cleaning supplies, bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, women's deodorant, body wash, 13 gallon trash bags and essentially anything else that can be used inside a home.
The entire list of items needed can be found at provhouse.org/stuffthetruck. A special thanks goes to Berea Moving and Storage which is donating the truck, Union Home Mortgage, and Maple Heights Hardware among many others.
Another special thanks goes to Mrs. Karen Dolan, wife of Cleveland Guardians owner and C-E-O Paul Dolan, both of whom sit on the Board at the Providence House.
The Providence House is a non-profit organization focused on family preservation and supporting children and families through crisis.
