Gas Station Manager Fired After Dropping Price To 69 Cents A Gallon

Where you put the decimal is important. A California gas station manager has been fired after accidentally charging customers 69 cents a gallon for gas at a Shell station in Rancho Cordova, California. The station was swarmed by customers after word got out on social media.

The price was supposed to be a record-high $6.99, but John Szczecina says he accidentally put the decimal point in the wrong place when he was setting the price. The incident cost the gas station around $20k.
