Tiger Woods Plans To Play The Masters

Fourteen months after a car accident in southern California that left him with a shattered leg and other injuries, golfer Tiger Woods said Tuesday morning he plans to play at the Masters' which gets underway Thursday in Augusta, Georgia.

The five-time Masters champion says he will play nine more practice holes Wednesday before making a final decision but he adds he's playing those practice holes with every intention of stepping into the tee box Thursday.

In addressing the media Tuesday morning, Tiger said 'as of right now, I feel like I am going to play.' Tiger and his son Charlie played in the 36 hole scramble in December at the PNC Challenge where he used a cart. Following their finish, Tiger rejected any notion that he was tour ready.

Woods injuries from the February, 2021 car crash were so severe that doctors considered amputating his right leg. Following extensive surgery to repair the leg and his ankle, it appears Tiger is ready to roar starting Thursday at August!
