An eighth-grade English teacher, Lisa Grimes was reportedly forced to quit her job after being caught on camera saying, "Conservative Christians need to get COVID and die."
The private conversation ended up not being so private and was soon posted to social media platforms.
The school board issued a note claiming the teachers' statements don't reflect the views of the school district or middle school. Grimes has resigned from her post.
