A sentencing hearing is scheduled today for a man convicted in connection with a vehicle crash that claimed the life of a man in Lakewood.
The incident happened on December 11, 2024, when 58-year-old Bill Safos was struck outside of a crosswalk near Madison and Orchard Grover Avenues.
Safos, a former reporter for Cleveland Channel 19, suffered injuries that later claimed his life.
Defendant Zachary Saliba pleaded guilty to attempted aggravated vehicular manslaughter and will be sentenced today.
