Prison time is the order for a former Cleveland Police officer convicted following a Lake County shooting. Alexander Sinclair was arrested in October 2024 in connection with an incident outside Riverview Elementary School.

Sinclair was off-duty when he reportedly shot a bullet through the windshield of a vehicle at the edge of the school's parking lot.

He was subsequently suspended by the Cleveland Police Department and resigned after pleading guilty in April to charges including assault, kidnapping, and abduction.

Sinclair was sentenced Wednesday to serve ten to twelve years in prison.
