(Cleveland) In an effort to bolster the ranks within the Cleveland Division of Police, an Expedited Hiring Event is planned for September 13th, 14th, and 15th. The event will be held at City Hall and free parking will be available in the Willard Garage. A hiring bonus of up to $5,000 is available for new hires.
Applicants who make it through the entire application process will be accepted into the City's Police Academy in December. Police Academy Cadets earn $25 an hour and those who graduate from the Academy will earn an hourly rate of $30 an hour.
A similar event was held last December with some 300 people showing up and resulted in the largest cadet class in a number of years.
