(Cleveland) If you are among the millions of Americans heading out of town for Thanksgiving, give yourself plenty of time, whether you're driving or taking flight. Triple-A estimates 2.2-million Ohioans are traveling for the holiday, two million of them by way of roads. Wednesday is the busiest travel day this week. Tiffany Stanley with Triple-A East Central says the earlier that you can leave for your destination then the better chance you have of avoiding the heaviest of highway congestion. Over at Cleveland Hopkins Airport, Communications Specialist Michele Dynia says early is the way to go there too. She recommends travelers get to the airport two hours before their scheduled flight. Dynia also suggests checking the flight status and T.S.A. line times at clevelandairport.com. Speaking of the Transportation and Security Administration, Regional Director Jessica Mayle says don't pack what you don't need. And the agency's website tsa.gov has a section called "What Can I Bring?" That will also tell you what can go in your carryon bag and what has to be inside a checked bag. Finally, a reminder from the Ohio Department of Transportation about Ohio's move over law. If you see a vehicle with flashing lights, highway patrol, tow truck, or other type of emergency vehicle alongside the highway, move over if possible or slow down.
