CSU And Northern Kentucky Go Down To The Wire... AGAIN

CLEVELAND, OH--- The Vikings and Norse to no one's surprise went down to the wire again Sunday afternoon with CSU winning 64-63. In somewhat familiar fashion, NKU would manage to get a last second 3 point shot to bring the game within 1 with 1 second to go. The last matchup between the Norse and Vikings saw Marques Warrick hit a game-winning 3 pointer at the buzzer back on January 19th.

The game was very fast paced in the first half, we would see a great first half performance from Deante "Spider" Johnson. Johnson would have 13 pts, 3 rebounds, and shoot 6-7 from the field in the first half, he would end up finishing 7-12 from the field total on the day with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. To close out the first half, it would be the 3rd straight game where a CSU opponent would close out the first half with a 3 pointer, this time coming from none other then Marques Warrick. Warrick would finish the game with 26 points, 3 rebounds, and would be a perfect 3-3 from the free throw line.

The second half would see another Viking get hot, Jayson Woodrich, in the 2nd half "Woody" would score 9 points, all off 3 pointers, missing only 2. He would finish with 11 points on the day, 3 rebounds, and shoot 4-9 from the field.

The Vikings will look to finish their regular season with a win Thursday night in Milwaukee at 8 pm. The game will air on Fox Sports 1350 AM The Gambler, the free iHeartRadio app, or HERE
