Guardians get swept in their 8-2 defeat to the Tigers. Shane Bieber got the loss pitching five-and-two-thirds innings while giving up five runs on seven hits. Kody Clemens smashed a homer for Detroit while Miguel Cabrera drove in three runs. Cleveland loses all four games in the series and are now four-and-a-half games back of the Twins for first place in the division. The team will try and bounce back Friday as they open a three-game series in Kansas City against the Royals.
