Today in 2002, Andrea Yates received a life sentence in Texas, for drowning her five children on June 20, 2001. It was later revealed that she had been suffering for some time with very severe postpartum depression and postpartum psychosis. Her husband, Rusty (who apparently knew of her issues, but encouraged her to keep having children anyway), divorced her in 2005. He has since remarried. As for Andrea, her conviction was overturned on appeal. She was found not guilty in 2006 by reason of insanity and was sent to a Texas mental hospital, where she remains today.

Today in 2017, Disney refused to cut the so-called “gay moment” in the film, "Beauty and the Beast," for Malaysian censors, instead pulls film from Malaysia.
