Arlington, TX--

The Indians started the final series of the 2021 season in Arlington, Texas. Texas sent Spencer Howard and Cleveland sent Eli Morgan to the mound to start the night. The Rangers were first on the board with an RBI double in the second inning from Andy Ibanez. Nick Solak brought Ibanez home with an RBI single to extend their lead to 0-2. The Indians answered those runs with a solo home run from Austin Hedges to start the third inning. The Tribe had a very successful third inning with four total runs to lead the Rangers 4-2. Texas came close to tying the game in the third with a solo home run from Isiah Kiner-Falefa to left center.

Though it was a close game the Tribe blew it open in the top of the fourth inning with a five run inning to extend their lead to 9-3. The Rangers never did quite catch up to the Indians. Nathaniel Lowe had a solo home run in the sixth and Jose Trevino blasted a two run line drive home run to left field for a final score of 9-6. Eli Morgan was awarded the win and Spencer Howard with the loss.

The Indians and the Rangers will meet again tomorrow for a 7:05 first pitch in Arlington, Texas.
