Cleveland Police Investigating Crimes from September 27-28

Cleveland, OH - The Cleveland Division of Police are investigating the following crimes that took place on September 27-28, 2021.

A shooting at 7728 Elton Ave. from a drive-by shooting. A male victim suffered a gunshot wound to the thigh. He was transported to MetroHealth.

A serious crash at E 116 St. and Miles Ave. A call was made to authorities for a 5 car crash. One person was ejected and was stuck under a car. EMS took a 34 year old male to MetroHealth with severe injuries. On September 27, 2021 at approximately 3:25 p.m., a 34 year old male was driving a Ford Escape east on Miles well in excess of the posted speed limit and in the center turn lane. The Ford Escape collided with a Honda Civic and then overturned and collided with another vehicle travelling on Miles and two parked vehicles. The driver of the Ford was severely injured and was taken to MetroHealth by EMS. The other drivers may have sustained minor injuries but refused transport.

Homicide Investigation at 1298 Spruce Ct. A 25-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to the chest. On September 27, 2021 at approximately 5:35 p.m., officers responded to 1298 Spruce Court for a male shot. On arrival, the victim was found in a courtyard with a GSW to his chest. EMS responded and conveyed the victim to Metro for treatment. Preliminary information indicates that the victim was standing in front of 1298 Spruce Court when an unknown person shot him and fled in a vehicle. The victim was pronounced deceased at approximately 7pm. Members of the Homicide Unit responded for investigation. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to contact investigators at 216-623-5464. Anonymous information can be provided by calling 216-25-CRIME.

A shooting at 4950 Case Court. A 15 year old male suffered a gunshot wound to buttocks. He was transported to Saint Vincent Charity Hospital. Another 15-year-old male suffered a gunshot wound to head. EMS to took him to MetroHealth. 

At 3350 W 127 St., a male barricaded himself in a house with a sledgehammer. Crisis negotiators responded.
