The Indians Couldn't Catch the Twins

Cleveland, OH--

Back in Cleveland for four games against Minnesota. Minnesota took game one from the Tribe with Logan Allen taking the loss. Minnesota scored first with a two run RBI single off the bat of Rob Refsnyder with only five pitches from Logan Allen in the first inning. In the third Jorge Polanco hit a blast to left field for a solo home run to bring the score to 3-0.

Cleveland answered the Twins with a two run home run to center from Franmil Reyes in the fourth inning. That was the closest the Tribe got to the Twins. Byron Buxton extended the lead for Minnesota with a wack to center field. The final score of the night came off the bat of Luis Arraez to solidify the lead with an RBI single and a final score of 5-2.

Cleveland and Minnesota face off again tomorrow at Progressive Field with a 6:10 start.
