Cleveland Took the Final Game from Boston

Boston, MA--

Cleveland brought their A game with both pitching and batting this afternoon. Zach Plesac took the mound for the Tribe and earning the win while Kutter Crawford took the loss, Bobby Bradley, Harold Ramirez and Myles Straw were the first three to score runs today to bring Cleveland on top from the beginning 3-0. Franmil Reyes and Bradley Zimmer brought the score to 6-0 in the third inning. Boston's bats woke up in the fifth with three runs in the inning. In the sixth inning J.D. Martinez hit a blast two run home run to center field and brought the score to 6-5.

In the ninth Cleveland took back control of the game with runs driven in by Amed Rosario, Franmil Reyes, Harold Ramirez, and Owen Miller. They were able to drive the runs in and run away with the game to take an 11-5 lead. In the bottom of the ninth Boston could not make any dent in the deficit. They took the loss but took the series with the Insians only winning one of the three game series.

Cleveland will be back on the field tomorrow against Minnesota for a four game series at Progressive Field. Start time 6:10!
