CLEVELAND, OH -- Cleveland middle infielder Amed Rosario had himself a career night as the tribe kickstarr their 6-game road trip with an impressive win over the Royals. Rosario began the game with an inside the park home ru on a line drive to the right field corner, marking Cleveland's first inside the park homer in 3 years, with the last one also coming in Kauffman Stadium. The bat remained red hot or Rosario, who went on to have a 5-hit day, including a 2-run homer, while driving in a total of 5 RBI. The Indians pitching staff was nearly perfect, giving up just two runs, with the tribe securing a 7-2 win in Kansas City.
Zach Plesac continued his dominance over the Kansas City Royals, giving up 0 earned runs on 2 hits while striking out 7 batters. The Cleveland right hander moved to a career record of 6-0 against the Royals. Tribe first baseman Bobby Bradley went yard in the 8th inning, sending out a 2-run blast to right field in the 8th inning.
The Indians began their 6-game road trip with a victory voer the Royals, and will look to stay in the win column on Wednesday evening against the Royals. First pitch is set for 8:10 pm ET at Ewing M Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
