College in Ohio Offers Free Tuition Prizes for Students to Get Vaccinated

(Cleveland, OH) - For Kent State university students, those that get the COVID-19 vaccination and let campus officials know could be eligible to win free tuition for a semester, an Apple Watch of other prizes.

Lamar R. Hylton, the Vice President for Student Affairs sent out the release today to students:

Beginning Aug. 2, all Kent State students who are vaccinated and register their vaccine information by visiting the University Health Services website and following the instructions on the “How to Report: Med+Proctor” tab will be eligible to win prizes in twice-weekly drawings. Students who registered previously are also eligible to win prizes. Drawings will go through Oct. 12.

So that means you could win free tuition for a semester, free room and board for a semester or a kayaking trip with you and your closest friends. Other prizes to be awarded include free Homecoming concert tickets, Beats headphones and Apple Watches

Only those who have registered their vaccine status through the Med+Proctor portal are eligible for the incentive prizes. COVID-19 vaccines are available at no cost to all members of the Kent State community and their families at the DeWeese Health Center on the Kent Campus.

University Health Services offers vaccines Monday through Friday, at varying hours between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Use this link to schedule an appointment or call the health center at 330-672-2322.
