OAKLAND, CA -- Bradley Zimmer put the Indians ahead in the 7th inning on a line drive solo homer to center field. Tribe manager looked to the Cleveland flamethrower Emmanuel Clase to shut the door on the pesky A's in the home half of the 9th inning. Elvis Andrus got the rally started with a leadoff single on a ground ball to right field. With one man out and Elvis on first base, Jed Lowrie jumped on a Clase fastball and sent the Oakland fans home happy with a 2-run walk-off blast, defeating the tribe by the final score of 5-4.

The Oakland A's jumped out to a quick 3-run lead, before the Indians crawled back into the game. Indians backstop Roberto Perez got the tribe going with a solo shot to left field.

Tribe starter Eli Morgan fought for a total of 5 innings, giving up 3 earned runs on 7 hits, getting little to no help from the defense behind him.

The Cleveland Indians and Oakland Athletics will square off for game two of the three game set on Saturday afternoon. First pitch is set for 4:07 pm ET at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California.
