MINNEAPOLIS, MN -- The Cleveland set the tone for the rest of the weekend series against the Twins. Tribe starter JC Mejia had a rocky start, throwing over 50 pitches through the first two innings, but managed to lock it in to go 6 full innings giving up just one lone run. Eddie Rosario go revenge against his former club on a go-ahead 2-RBI single that would end up being the difference in an Indians 4-1 win over the Twins.

JC Mejia looked out of sorts early on into his start, issuing two walks and two balks while missing his spots on most of his pitches. The young right hander stayed composed as he cruised through the rest of his outing, finishing the game with a final line of 1 earned run on 4 hits through 6 innings, with the one earned run coming on a wild pitch in the first inning.

The Cleveland Indians will head into game two of the four game series with a fully energized bullpen. Tribe manager Terry Francona will send out Cal Quantrill to take on Minnesota starter Griffin Jax. First pitch on Friday evening is set for 8:10 pm ET at Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
