Indians Fall to Mariners 6-2 in Series Finale

CLEVELAND, OH -- The Indians came into Sunday's game looking to complete a three-game sweep, but the Mariners had other ideas. Seattle jumped on Cleveland's ace Shane Bieber, going deep twice in the first four innings. The Mariners blew a late lead in Saturday's game, and had similar feels in the 9th. The Indians were looking at a four-run deficit with the abses loaded in the home half of the ninth, but fell short. Seattle hung on to defeat the tribe by the final score of 6-2.

Cleveland starter Shane Bieber got banged up by the Mariners lineup, finishg the game with a final line of 5 earned runs on 5 hits, striking out 8 total batters in 5 2/3 innings of work.

The tribe will host the visiting Baltimore Orioles in an upcoming four game series that will kickoff on Monday evening. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
