SEATTLE, WA -- The reigning American League Cy Young winner seemed a bit off on Sunday afternoon against the Mariners. Bieber struggled to find his groove, ending his streak of games with 8 or more strikeouts at 20 games. The Cleveland ace was pulled in the 5th inning, before handing the ball off to the tribe bullpen. Seattle would cling on to their lead to take the game by the final score of 3-2.

The Cleveland Indians were 1 run away from completing a 3-run comeback with the bases loaded in the 7th inning, when Franmil Reyes grounded into a double play to end the inning. The Indians' bats ran out of gas after the 7th, only getting one base hit in the final two innings.

While the Indians starter Shane Bieber struggled, the bullpen continued their dominance, combining for 3.1 innings of scoreless baseball. Cleveland flamethrower Emmanuel Clase got back on track after a recent struggle on the hill, tossing one inning giving up zero hits and striking out two.

The tribe will continue their west coast trip when they travel to the City of Angels to take on the Angels. First pitch on Monday is set for 9:38 pm ET at Angel Stadium of Anaheim in Anaheim, California.
