SEATTLE, WA -- Zach Plesac was wearing an unfamiliar pair of cleats when he took the hill for the Indians on Thursday evening. The Cleveland right hander forgot to pack his game cleats for the road trip and had to have a tribe employee go to the sporting goods store and purchase cleats for tonight's game. Plesac took a no-hit bid into the 8th inning before giving up the first base hit. The tribe lineup got out front early in the game, as the Indians cruised to a 4-2 victory over the Seattle Mariners.

Cleveland relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase got the call to shut the door on the Mariners in the 9th inning, but struggled with his control. After walking the bases loaded, Clase was replaced by Bryan Shaw, who got the final out to officially shut the door on the pesky Mariners. Plesac finished the game with a final line of 2 earned runs on 2 hits through 8 total innings pitched.

Tribe slugger Franmil Reyes got Cleveland on the board early on a solo shot to left field in the second inning. Later in the inning, Jake Bauers brought home Josh Naylor on a two out RBI single to center field. Jose Ramirez, who is the American League leader in home runs, went yard on a 2-run blast to right field.

Cleveland has now won 9 of their last 10 and will look to remain red-hot heading into the weekend. Seattle will host the Indians on Friday night, first pitch set for 10:10 pm ET at T-Mobile Park in Seattle, Washington. Check out highlights from tonight's game below!
