More Northeast Ohio Movie Theaters to Re-open Friday

NORTHEAST OHIO - "Words on Bathroom Walls." "Unhinged." These are the titles of just two movies that will mark the first releases in theaters since pre-COVID 19. Some would argue they are blockbusters, whether financially successful or not. How many people will venture into the theaters that are re-configured to keep movie-goers safe from COVId-19? Surely fewer with spaced seating. But here is a list of openings this Friday, Aug. 20.

  • Cedar Lee Theatre
  • Cinemark Theatres at Valley View, South Park and Cuyahoga Falls
  • Regal Theatres at Crocker Park, Hudson, Interstate Park, Medina, Montrose, Cobblestone Square, Akron, Middleburg Town Square and Richmond Town Square

What's playing:

  • "Unhinged" - Road rage thriller starring Russell Crowe
  • "Words on Bathroom Walls" - Romantic drama about a schizophrenic teenager
  • "Cut Throat City" - Terrence Howard and Wesley Snipes
  • "Tesla" - Ethan Hawke plays inventor Nikola Tesla

Expect mandatory masking, hand sanitizer stations, touchless transactions and social distancing measures.
