Rocky River Police Blotter: Social Gatherings Broken Up

Rocky River -

  • On 4/4/20 at about 2:20pm Officers responded to Erie Road for a complaint of a party in the street in violation of the stay at home order. Officers responded and found that there was a large family gathering. The homeowner was advised to send all non-occupants the house home. The resident complied with officers and no charges were filed.
  • On 4/4/20 at about 4:45 pm Officers responded to Jameston Drive for a report of a house party. Officers found a group of friends, all adults, playing games and drinking. They were all advised of the stay at home order and they dispersed. No charges to be filed.
  • On 4/5/20 at about 7:20 pm Rocky River Police Department received a call from the Walgreens on Center Ridge Road that a robbery had just occurred. Officers responded and found that the cashier had been the victim of a strong armed robbery. A man jumped over the counter and instructed the cashier to open the cash register. No weapon was shown and less than $50 cash was taken. The man left the store and it is believed accomplices were waiting in the parking lot. Detectives are investigating.
