(PARMA) Eleven local police departments compete to raise money for children battling life-threatening diseases, all by not shaving.
"It's such a great way to boost moral," says Jason Piazza of the Parma Police Department. "It's such a great experience and a change change for these guys to be able to grow out facial hair for a month."
No Shave WishVember benefits the Cleveland Chapter of A Special Wish. The event raised $6000 in 2017, its first year, and $16,000 in 2018. They've set $20,000 as this year's goal.
