Offense: Domestic Violence/Unruliness

Date: September 25, 2019

Time: 8:37 PM

Location: 32000 Block of Ledge Hill Dr.

Solon Police were dispatched to a residence in the 32000 block of Ledge Hill Dr. to investigate a complaint of Domestic Violence. Investigation showed that an argument had taken place between a 63 year old and 14 year old over the 14 year old and her 16 year old brother not coming home from school until 8:30 PM. During the argument the 14 year old attempted to leave the resident but was blocked by the victim. The 14 year old called for her brother who came from upstairs and assaulted a 82 year old man and then threw the 63 year old victim to the floor. After the assault, both juveniles fled the residence to a neighbor’s house. The 16 year old and the 63 year old were both transported to separate medical facilities for treatment. Upon release the 16 year old was transported to the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Location: 6270 SOM Ctr. Rd.

Solon Police responded to the parking lot of Walgreens to investigate a complaint of Domestic Violence. The victim reported that while in a vehicle with the father of her unborn child, they became involved in a verbal argument. After pulling into the parking lot the victim attempted to retrieve her items from the vehicle when the male subject punched her in the back of the head and pushed her away from the car. A witness at the scene reported seeing the male throw a suitcase at the victim and scream at her. As the male was leaving the parking lot he began throwing the victims property out of the car. Another witness reported seeing the male push the female.

Offense: OVI (Felony)/Failure to re-instate Driver’s License

Time: 5:56 PM

Location: 30500 Bainbridge Rd.

Arrested: Phil Ferenc, 35 from Lyndhurst.

Solon Police Officers were dispatched to the area of 30500 Bainbridge Rd. to investigate a male asleep at the wheel, stopped at a traffic light. Arriving officers discovered a vehicle stopped at the light, in gear and engine running. The driver was found to be unconscious and the music blaring from the radio. There was an odor of alcohol emitting from the vehicle. The driver was awakened and admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day. The driver was asked to perform field sobriety test which resulted in an indication that he was impaired. The driver was arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center where he refused to submit to a breath test.

Time: 3:56 AM

Location: Liberty Rd.

Arrested: Lerone Nichols, 43 from Twinsburg

A Solon Police officer on patrol followed a vehicle which he observed being operated in a weaving pattern crossing the center dividing line. The vehicle also displayed expired license plates. The vehicle was stopped on Liberty Rd. south of Aurora Rd. While speaking with the driver a slight odor of an alcoholic beverage was detested coming from the driver/vehicle. The driver did state that he “didn’t have much to drink”. Field sobriety tests indicated impairment and the driver was arrested. A breath test was performed at the Solon Correction Center resulting in a .106 BAC

Offense: OVI/BAC/Hit Skip/Assured Clear Distance Ahead

Date: September 28, 2019

Time: 7:41 PM

Location: 27045 Solon Rd.

Arrested: Stacey Stark, 28 from Aurora

Solon Police were advised by CVD that a hit skip accident had occurred in the city and that the suspect vehicle fled but had been stopped by Macedonia Police. Investigation revealed that the suspect had struck the rear of another vehicle at 27045 Solon Rd. and then fled the scene. The driver of the vehicle that had been struck followed the suspect vehicle and called 911. Macedonia Police located the vehicle at a business in their city and they determined that the operator of the vehicle was intoxicated. Responding officer reported that the driver was visably upset and kept asking if anyone was hurt. The driver had an odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from her and/or the vehicle. Due to the level of intoxication the driver was displaying the field tests were not performed for the safety of the driver. She was arrested and transported to the Solon Correction Center. A breath test at the station revealed a .212 BAC.

Date: October 1, 2019

Time: 12:24 AM

Location: 6500 Block of Arbordale Ave.

Arrested:40 year old Female from Solon

Solon Police were dispatched to a residence in the 6500 block of Arbordale Ave. to investigate a report of Domestic Violence. Investigation by officers revealed that earlier in the evening a 15 year old female had become involved in a verbal argument with her mother which then turned violent. The 15 year old claimed that her mother had pushed her and then choked her. She continued by stating that her mother started hitting her when she tried to leave the house and also dragged her out of the house by her hair. The victim had injuries consistent with her statement. The 15 year old left the house and called her 22 year old sister to come and get her. When the older sister arrived she went in the house to retrieve shoes and clothes for her sister and claims she was attacked by the mother in an upstairs bedroom. The 22 year old also had injuries consistent with her statement. The mother was transported to a medical facility for evaluation of injuries she claimed she received during the incident. After receiving medical attention, the mother was placed under arrest for Domestic Violence.

Offense: Domestic Violence/Felonious Assault

Date: October 1, 2019

Time: 3:51 AM

Location: 34000 block Park East Dr.

Arrested: 46 year old male from Solon.

Solon Police were dispatched to an apartment in the 34000 block of park east Dr. t investigate a third party complaint of domestic violence. While en-route units were advised that the male suspect had fled the scene. Arriving patrol vehicles observed a male matching the description of the suspect running through the parking lot. The male was detained and refused to speak with the officers. The male appeared to be impaired. The victim reported that she and the suspect had been watching a movie and when the male left the suspect came out of the bedroom and began yelling at her. The suspect then took some of the victim’s property and retreated back to the bedroom. When the victim went towards the bedroom the suspect came out of the bedroom and threw the victim against the wall. It was later discovered that the victim suffered a broken wrist from being thrown against the wall. The male was arrested at the scene.

Time: 1:18 AM

Location: Harper Rd.

Arrested: Michael Colescott, 59 from Lake Milton Ohio Charged with : OVI/Carrying a concealed weapon/Two lights required/Seatbelt.

A Solon Police Officer on patrol observed a vehicle being operated on Miles Rd. with only one working headlight. As the officer watched the vehicle he noted that the vehicle pulled into a closed business and then exited. The vehicle proceeded south on Harper Rd. and was stopped south of Cannon Rd. The driver explained that he pulled into the business because he thought that was the street. When questioned about where he was coming from he indicated “over that way”.There was a faint odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the driver/vehicle. After further questioning of the driver about his whereabouts, he stated that he was at the “tittie bar” and had drank 2 beers. Field tests indicated impairment and the driver was arrested. He was transported to the Solon Correction Center where he refused to submit to a breath test. Inventory of the vehicle discovered a butterfly knife in the door pocket.
