Bay Village Police Blotter: Restraining Order Joy-Ride

On September 26, at 1:15am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Wolf Road near Porter Creek Road for an equipment violation. Officers spoke with the male operator, a 21 year old Westlake resident, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The male failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Once on station, the male provided a breath sample into the Intoxilyzer machine which showed a .160% blood alcohol limit. He is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On September 27, at 12:04 am, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road near Dover Center Road for a speeding violation. Officers spoke with the male operator, a 47 year old Bay Village resident, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The male failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. Once on station, the male provided a breath sample into the Intoxilyzer machine which showed a .096% blood alcohol limit. He is facing charges in Rocky River Municipal Court.

On September 27, at approximately 23:37 hours, Bay Village Police stopped a vehicle on Lake Road near the intersection of Porter Creek Road for an equipment violation. Upon checking the license plate registration, it was discovered that the registered owner, and operator, of the vehicle, a male, 30 year old Lorain resident, had an active protection order filed against him. Further the protected individual was found to be a passenger in his vehicle. The male was placed under arrest for Violation of a Protection Order. He was returned to the Bay Village PD to await a court appearance in Rocky River Municipal Court.
