Bay Village -

On 08/28/2019, at 18:45 hours, officers were dispatched to a home on Osborn Road, near Sutcliffe, on the report of a neighbor dispute and trespassing. It was found that a resident had needed landscaping work done in the backyard and had told a subcontractor it would be okay to drive equipment across the property of an adjacent neighbor. The Bobcat’s tracks did create a path in the other home’s lawn. A group of three from the house, with the now damaged lawn, went over to the house to loudly express their displeasure. Statements and photos were taken and all information forwarded to the prosecutor for a ruling.

On 08/29/2019, at 21:33 hours, dispatch received a complaint at a Lake Road home, near Dover Center Road, on the report of a domestic violence incident. Officers met a 41-year old husband and 38-year old wife. Both reported there had been a verbal argument, which escalated into a physical tussle and ending when a candle in a glass was thrown by the wife at the husband. There were no injuries to either party. The husband left for the night and information was taken for a report to be forwarded to the prosecutor for a ruling.

On 08/31/2019, at 02:14 hours, a female called the department to report she found a male sleeping in a VW Passat, running and parked just into the front entrance of the St. Raphael Catholic Church. Officers were finally able to awaken the male. He appeared to be dazed and confused and initially spoke so unintelligibly that officers thought he might not have been speaking English. The 46-year old Bay Village resident failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. At the station, he was processed, tested at 0.222% Blood Alcohol and released on personal bond to a sober adult.
